Myrtle Middle School

Raised in California, Ms. Cruz Ocampo joined Success Academy Harlem North Central in 2017 as a fifth-grade teacher, later shifted to 8th grade algebra, grade team lead, and then assistant principal at SA Bronx Middle School. In 2021, Ms. Cruz Ocampo became the assistant principal of SA Bronx Middle School where she has helped manage upper school. Ms. Cruz Ocampo holds a bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and a minor in Literature from the University of California, San Diego. She is committed to integrating herself into the community and continuing to build a school that enables students to achieve their potential both academically and socio-emotionally. Ms. Cruz Ocampo enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her friends and partner.
