KEYNOTE: OUR DESTINATION

Eva Moskowitz

Success Academy Founder and CEO Eva Moskowitz has spent the past two decades completely reinventing public education. Confronted with America’s antiquated system of failing public schools — and its entrenched defenders — she persisted in reimagining and reengineering every aspect of schooling, from low-level curricula to wasteful spending to inefficient delivery of services to families and children. She has built Success Academy (based in New York but soon to expand to Florida and other states) into one of the highest-performing fastest-growing networks of public charter schools in the country. As a former member of the New York City Council and fearless advocate for all children, Eva is a national leader in education reform, working to overturn the policies and practices that block poor children from high-quality education. Mother of three children (two are SA graduates), she is also the author of several books, including A+ Parenting, with her husband Eric Grannis, and The Education of Eva Moskowitz.

2026 Spring Benefit

Celebrating 20 Years of Success Academy

Twenty years ago, Success Academy launched the most consequential experiment in modern American public education, boldly reimagining every aspect of schooling to solve the national crisis of failing schools. Scaling swiftly from a single school in Harlem to the fourth-largest school district in New York State, SA now educates 22,000 children in many of the lowest-income neighborhoods of New York City. Our 59 schools are rigorous, engaging, and efficient – and successful at readying students for higher education and for life. Our scholars have outscored affluent white students on Regents, APs, and SATs, and rank #1 in math and #2 in reading across New York State. All our graduates – 100% – have been accepted into 4-year colleges, and our alumni are enrolled in selective institutions across the country. To serve as many families as possible, we are now bringing our proven model of educational excellence to Florida, opening our first schools in Miami in 2027.
