Amaury Ramirez

Raised in Harlem, Mr. Ramirez joined SA Bed-Stuy 1 in 2013 as a third -grade teacher, where he later served as a founding fourth grade teacher and grade team lead before moving on to become assistant principal at SA Bed-Stuy 2. In 2017, Mr. Ramirez became assistant principal at SA Harlem East Middle School, where he worked before ascending to the role of principal at SA Harlem West in 2020. Mr. Ramirez holds a bachelor’s degree in writing and rhetoric from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and a master’s degree in general education and special education from Touro College. He is committed to building a school community that allows for scholars to flourish both academically and socially. Mr. Ramirez enjoys spending time with his wife and baby girl!
